Privacy Policy

The short version. GiftGauge does not collect your data. There are no servers of ours, no accounts, and no analytics. Everything you enter stays on your device and, if you choose, syncs only through your own private iCloud. We never see it.

What you enter

The people, occasions, gift ideas, prices, budgets, and notes you add are stored on your device using Apple's on-device database. This information lives on your iPhone and is not transmitted to us.

iCloud sync

If you are signed into iCloud, GiftGauge automatically keeps your data in sync across your own Apple devices using Apple's CloudKit, stored in your private iCloud database. That data lives in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to it, and it is never sent to us or to any third party. If you are not signed into iCloud, the app works fully and keeps everything on your device.

What we do not collect

No analytics and no usage tracking
No advertising identifiers and no ad networks
No access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone
No third-party SDKs that gather data
No personal information sent to us or anyone else

Notifications

If you turn on a reminder for an occasion, GiftGauge schedules a local notification on your device. Reminders are handled entirely on-device and require your permission the first time you enable one. No notification data leaves your device.

Purchases

GiftGauge Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment details. Purchase validation is handled by the App Store.

Children

GiftGauge does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
